How to set up Smart Alerts
Open Settings → Notifications. Choose the shift types and days of the week that fit your life, then tap Save.
A simple example
Eves + RON
Tuesday + Wednesday
What that means:
ShyftMate alerts you when an Eves or RON opportunity falls on Tuesday or Wednesday. A Days shift on Friday does not interrupt you.
That is the whole idea: fewer alerts you do not care about, more useful opportunities when they actually fit your schedule.
Want to hear about everything?
You do not have to select every shift and every day. If you leave the shift types or days unselected, ShyftMate treats that as all of them.
Leave shift types unselected and choose Saturday + Sunday. You will hear about any shift type that falls on the weekend.
Smart Alerts do not hide Open Shifts
Even if a new shift does not match your Smart Alert choices, it can still appear in Open Shifts. Smart Alerts control which new-shift alerts you receive, not what opportunities you are allowed to browse.
Important updates still stay useful
Smart Alerts are mainly about filtering new opportunities. They are not meant to hide important updates about your own shift activity — for example, when a shift you offered is claimed or when an approval needs attention.
Use Smart Alerts for the opportunities you want, then use Push and the in-app notification center to stay informed.
